A lot of these actually aren't totally deconfirmed. Remember Toon Link, and how everyone thought he was cut since he was driving the train in the background? Turns out he wasn't. A lot of these characters have just appeared in stage backgrounds or normal trophies so far (and remember, the playable characters have trophies as well).
