Not if you know how to put water on a toothbrush and make it sink and stab itself onto the bristles instead of falling off.

It's very important to wet the toothbrush befor you apply the paste, otherwise the paste won't stick and will fall out of the brush if you accidentaly put it sideways for a second. Also, the paste sensation will be more along "burning" instead of merely "fresh" if you don't wet the brush first.
