No one milks a franchise quite like Capcom.

Yeah, but to be honest I have a hard time going back to Zelda 1 because it's hard to figure out where certain places or things are without a guide. Note I started playing Zelda with A Link to the Past, and that game had a very convenient map that helped immensely, but was still a very open game.

That said, Eiji Aonuma himself has said they're trying to bring back Zelda 1's open-ended nature for the upcoming Wii U game, and I am very interested to see that in a Zelda game on a high end HD console.
