I'd like to expand your knowledge on the Polygon Gone Home 10/10 debacle. I won't delve into the "non-game" debate here, but my thoughts mirror that of Total Biscuit (You need to be able to lose, or at least. not win.) This image is has been floating around for a while, and though it's really good, it doesn't tell the full tale, and may lead to some misconceptions (as it did for me) by focusing too greatly on Chris Remo. For instance, my recently mistakenly called Chris Remo "Gone Home creator and was (rightfully) called out on it. Christ Remo composed the score for Gone Home. Now, at the bottom of the image (an updated version of which can be found here, Deputy Reviews Editor at Polygon Phillip Kollar did refer to him as one of the "games developers"..but I feel the rest of the image gives the impression that Remo was more of a lead developer type. Now, I still believe that personal relationship constitutes a Conflict of Interest and deserves disclosure; I just want everyone to know the full truth. Talking like Chris Remo was the lead developer when discussing (as l am guilty of) only makes us look uninformed. I think the more telling aspect of this graphic is the most overlooked: Idle Thumbs It features a weekly video game podcast hosted by former and current video game journalists and developers Chris Remo (Campo Santo, formerly Double Fine Productions).
