went into the "fictionkin" tag today, and realized that every single hateful post I saw had one thing in common: an incredible amount of ableism. Every hateful post insinuated that we are either mentally ill or neurodiverse, or both. So these people don't even hate us because of what we are. They hate us because they think that being otherkin is a socially acceptable form of mental illness/disability. Otherkin hate, at its core, is just ableism (even though being otherkin has nothing to do with being disabled) #otherkin #ableism
