Anyway… the GameCube Controller is of course the one you plug into the adapter. The Wired Fight Pad is a "GameCube" Controller you plug into a Wiimote – the Wiimote will recognize it as a Classic Controller, so you can play games that are compatible with the Classic Controller with the Fight Pad. Aside from the design being similar, the Fight Pad has an extra shoulder button since the Classic Controller has one, too.

Which will you get to use with Smash? The Classic GameCube Controller, or this Third party (also licensed by Nintendo) Classic Controller built in inspiration of the GameCube Controller? I tried out the Fight Pad on Brawl and I feel it make take a bit before getting used to it. I might be using both from time-to-time. =P
