It all began after I got a tape of some old颻edd, & eddy episodes from my buddy, it was his favorite show when he was little but decided to give his recorded episodes to his 2 year old cousin, į was hanging out in his living room and he was babysitting her one afternoon, we were just watching some TV and having a couple beers when all of a sudden his little cousin runs out of the room screaming and crying like a banshee, we both got up and ran over to her, thinking she was injured in some way only to find out that there wasn't a scratch on her, after a few minutes she finally calm down enough to tell us that she thought "eddy came to get her" we simply looked at each other and thought she fell asleep and hada nightmare or something, į went to the room to check it out, only to see the old ed, edd, & eddy cartoons my buddy recorded years ago playing on the TV t was around this time that my buddy's sister came to pick up her daughter, who was still undeniably frightened from her "bad dream" his sister was very worried and began fighting with my buddy about not keeping an eye on her, i figured this was my queue to leave but before i left į asked him if į could borrow the tape to see if anything on it could have scared her like that, he assured me that there was nothing on the tape but let me take it because it was obviously not wanted by his little cousin A couple days past by and finally got a chance to sit down and watch the tape, į had just got off work and my fiancée was at her mother's house for a couple days so j had time to kill, i popped in the tape and let it rewind to the beginning, while it was rewinding i got up and made a quick TV dinner, when i came back it had already started playing everything seemed fine as the eds were doing their usual wacky things trying all so hard to achieve the coveted jawbreaker like every episode, į sat and watched as waves of nostalgia hit me over and over, i have to admit į understand why i loved this show when į was a kid as well, an adult less world overrun by kids where they could build and do anything they desired, seemed continued to watch episode after episode, even watched the commercials of old just for extra nostalgia kick. į had to admit į was enjoying this little glimpse of the past, it had me glued to the screen, but al these fun happy memories suddenly vanished when something strange happened, during the middle of one of the episodes double D in mid-sentence started talking backwards for about 10 seconds, then continued on with his sentence, į grabbed the remote and tried to rewind it, only to find out that the mashing of the rewind button did nothing, the tape continued to play forward, į got out of my seat and pressed the rewind button on the VCR, still nothing happened the tape played onwards. į stood up and watched the eds on the screen nothing seemed out of the ordinary, į was slightly shook from the inability to rewind but į swallowed the feeling and sat back down and watched as the cartoon rolled on a few minutes after į sat down, eddy had finally had gotten his jawbreaker which he had been working the whole episode to achieve, he quickly threw the giant over-sized candy in his mouth and enjoyed the fruits of his labour, when suddenly he froze in place and looked dead at the screen, he made a gulping sound as the iawbreaker moved from the inside of his cheek the center of his throat, the screen started to twist turned ing purple bloodshot and red, a high pitched ringing slowly faded into the entire room as while eddy s p rapidl thev ran down t looked almost real.. No a cartoon at all ided to call my bud re umber, but as i put the reciver to my ear al į heard w ople, young, old, male and female all crying in horrible pain, į threw more one down an the TV again, eddy w re ou cou the tears coming from the remote and smashed the power button but the TV s enough, į stood up quickly and yelled "WHAT THE F---?!" suddenly the ringing stopped purple faced eddy and everything was silent, the cries from the phone were gone, all that remained w d one more time as th arge lump in re ormal color an re made me er an epic d him rolling aroun more manica and more ter with each assing secon and more me, in the pitch black, just standing ther corner, slowly lurking towards me j didn't know what mall child in a dark room with monster in pure fear and all j coul re and ma eard movement an oor, i looked over and saw the light creeping s moving around, į heard laughing and joking from the other side, į realized į was still in the pitch black room... still in there with "eddy".i ran to the door breaking my binds of fear i slammed into the door at full speed, slamming my head a ran out into the hallwav into the from eddy and the darkne my surpris an em t the hallway wall a cou my apartment, sobbing and trying to mak d, after calming down partme re partme the VCR had e re er to re around and froz re t and threw it out the win for the tape, i broke it and bu the remains for ing my buddy what how eddv came ed but then j thou onvmous d, but the memo
