Uncle Pong: "Do you want to play a game?"
PC kid (probably still an 8008): "What's a game?"

Since then, incessantly PC wanted to be able to play games, but everyone else just wanted him to do boring work.

Now I notice Commodore and Atari (the "master race" back then, capable of gaming AND working) looking at PC and NES together. (graphic PC games of the time were mostly horrible, even MSX and the Spectrum would do better).

Now finally the PC can crunch hard work, hard math, hard games and hard porn simultaneously in a way his fallen friends/mentors could never dream of. But at what cost?

… would emulation of old plataforms be its coping mechanism to remember the good old days? What would you say if you suddenly saw your friend pretending he is his dead uncle?

Being the master race is suffering. No wonder the others before him died.
