Sakurai Explains Why Freddy Will Never Be Plavable In Super Smash Bros Super Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai and the rest of his team have already started looking at the submissions from the Super Smash Ballot that began at the beginning of the month. He shared his response to one frequently requested character recently. Sakurai explained in his Famitsu column why Freddy from the Five Night's at Freddy's series won't a playable character in the Nintendo 3DS or Wii U versions of the game. Sakurai doesn't think Freddy would be accurately portrayed in the game unless his features were changed drastically. "I know that Freddy's a frequently voted name for fans, but if we made him as a fighter, it wouldn't be Freddy any longer," Sakurai said in his Famitsu column. "He'd have to lose the teeth, get the multiple faces taken off his body, and stop harassing children." "Providing accurate portrayals of characters is something I want to pay ample attention to," he continued. "If I don't stick to that thought, then we'd have to lower the quality or break the balance of the game Something that goes way off spec could break the entire game."
