It wasn't in colonial times, By the time the attack on the Alamo by general Santana was happening, The 13 colonies had been formed into the United states of America decades ago, and the state of Texas tried to make its own nation Called the Republic of Texas.
I have never even been to Texas and I know that!
Am I the only person here who pays attention in History class?
