Super Smash Brothers - So apparently people actually think this

I'm gonna go point by point and defend Ryu because it's a slow day.

"2nd Capcom rep"
I didn't really see this as a bad thing, of all the 3rd parties in Smash, Capcom has arguably the closest relationship with Nintendo (at least during the 8 and 16-bit days). I think it's OK to give them a second rep as DLC

"broken"
I have nothing to say expect "git gud", Ryu's well-rounded and a good character, but he's far from "broken"

"got in over other characters like Rayman"
Ryu didn't take a ballot slot, and judging by data in the Mewtwo update, was in development far before the ballot got into the public's hands. Plus, the world's most famous fighting character is one of the best 3rd parties you have in Smash.

"uses complicated inputs"
Almost all of SSB4's newcomers have taken more practice and dedication to master than in past smash games, characters like Rosalina, Robin, and Shulk take more time to use to their fullest potential but are still easy to pick up and play, Ryu is no exception.

"death of Smash Bros"
I imagine a lot of people said this when Snake was conformed for Brawl. Getting 4 3rd parties isn't excessive at all (look at Playstation All-Stars for an example of 3rd party takeover). Besides, I doubt we're getting anymore 3rd parties in Smash 4.
