Steven Universe - where is the lie?

I could actually see basic rocks becoming characters on the show. They wouldn't be fully sentient like the gems, more like golem constructs used like a labor force or something.

Steven comes across Limestone in an old gem fortress, and helps it realize how to become a real boy. Then Yellow Diamond breaks it and he goes Supergemlesbian 2.0.

It's basically Android 16 but even sadder.
