Can I just say that this game looks friggin' amazing? Sure, there's no plot, but that isn't really necessary for a game like this. Just pure action. My only gripes are that there's only one boss battle at the very end (which is an absolute joke), that the boss is shoehorned into an action stage (a fast-paced, rank-happy game like this would benefit from having its stages and bosses be completely separate things), and, oh yeah – if all the stages are "Act 1", then where the hell is "Act 2"?!? But the gameplay itself? It takes elements from many Sonic games and blends them into an amazing whole. Sega really should be taking notes from this.
