"Aim for the Horn" is a common misquote that has come from an episode of the first season of the Pokemon Anime. During the episode, Ash battles the Gym Leader Blaine. Blaine sends out a Rhydon, and Ash is able to defeat it by telling his Pikachu to "Aim for the Horn", but in actuality, he shouts out "Pikachu! The Horn!" as seen in the original clip.

The misquote isn't the only reason of the notability, but also because that it contradicts with the game because electricity won't harm ground types no matter what is done.
According to Google Insights, the meme has first been noted in June of 2009. several sites such as Bulbapedia have also mentioned it's notability. A few fan images have been made as well.
