Down Syndrome Sonic, aka DSS or Lazy Eye Sonic, is a meme that originally started on the Sonic Retro forums on february 2008. It comes from a weird looking sonic background found in the Sonic 3D Blast 825 Beta and the Saturn Tech Demo.

Sonic’s look was so weird that the original Sonic 3D Proto Topic turned quickly into a photoshop contest, and it was funny, full of awesomeness and all.

Developpers fixed the background in the next beta, probably because they realized how weird the sonic head was.
