Julian Opie is a Wels artist who designed the cover of Blur’s album Blur: The Best Of (2000). The cover shows the members of the band in Opie’s style: flat color surfaces, thick black contour lines and round small circle eyes.
Because Opie’s style became so popular and it is easy to imitate that people has been making their own self portraits with programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop and posting their work online.
