Jean-Luc Picard

Jean-Luc Picard^[1] is the fictional captain of the United Federation of Planet’s flagship, the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701D). He is depicted as intelligent, considerate and with much leadership. He is usually depicted online with one of his many famous quotes such as “Make it so”, “There are four lights!”, “Engage!” and “I am Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise”. Another variation is from an image macro of him from Star Trek with humorous text that relates to his actions in the image (See also ’60s Spider-man).

Origin

Picard’s first appearance came in the pilot episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation named Encounter at Farpoint ^[2]. He is played by Patrick Stewart

Picard Double Facepalm

Another facepalm by Picard this time Picard uses both hands. He facepalms due to Data’s lack of emotion in reaction to the creation of new life. It originates from Season 3, episode 16 of The Next Generation, “The Offspring”.

An artist by the name of DarkMateria made The Picard Song.It features many of the memorable quotes from Picard. It was featured on a YTMND^[3]. A Youtube user named CoJux later made The Picard Video which matches the audio from the song to video of The Next Generation and various Star Trek movies.
