Slap Shot is a american comedy movie directed by George Roy Hill, written by Nancy Dowd and starring Paul Newman and Michael Ontkean. The film was very popular in Quebec because it was dubbed in French-Canadian and the present of two Quebecois actors. (Yvan Ponton and Yvon Barette)
Plot
At Charlestown, the hockey team, the Chiefs, is a shame for the population. The Reggie Dunlop's troop will be changed by the Hadson brothers.
Characters
Reggie Dunlop (played by Paul Newman)
Reggie Dunlop is the head-coach and a players of the Charlestown Chiefs. All the players around the league say he's too old to play hockey.
It's with Dunlop who the Chiefs start to be a goon team when he said to Tommy Hanrahan his wife is a lesbian.
Another epic scene it's when Dunlop insult the team owner's.
Paul Newman haved never wrote this movie in his filmography.
Denis Lemieux (played by Yvon Barette)
Denis Lemieux is the Charlestown Chiefs' goaltender. He comes from Quebec, which explains the difficulty to speak English. Like during the interview with Dickie Dunn;
when he tried to be trade;
and when he ask to the GM who owns the Chiefs.
The Hanson Brothers (Played by David Hanson, Jeff and Steve Carlson)
Jack, Steve and Jeff Hanson are the heart of the team. They're the Charlestown Chiefs goons. They were suspended from all leagues in North America because they were so violents.
