"Walk her home gently" is a catchphrase that originated on 4Chan's /a/ board. It's derived from a thread discussing a scene in the anime, Nisemonogatari, where the lead girl asks the lead character to "be gentle with her" in an outdoor environment, and one poster claimed she was asking him to "walk her home gently", cue to justifiably jarring reactions.

Origin

Nisemonogatari, sequel to SHAFT's hit anime, Bakemonogatari, came out in 2012. Known for it's raunchiness, it continues to be discussed to this day. On January 10th, 2015 however, a particular scene was discussed on 4chan in regards to whether or not the Main Character & Main Girl engaged in sex after she arbitrarily asked him to "be gentle with her". This lead one unhappy poster to claim he meant to "walk her home gently", a phrase that's being repeated to this day
