I can verify witnessing similar acts of kindness and support from popular people towards special needs students at my school on a daily basis. In particular, the sports teams seem to be very encouraging toward them. I have a lot of respect for those that do that, because I can barely manage to keep my patience around special needs people, and it makes me feel terrible but it's the truth.

I want to believe but with all the "the whole bus clapped" stories, I remain skeptical.
