1) Even if the government did have their hands in media, they wouldn't have to lift a finger to make this happen. News stations would still flash horrific images anyway, because they engage the audience and make them want to learn more.

2) These things are happening so often these days that everyone is on high alert, 24-7, for when it might happen again. They are people whose whole job is always be ready, always be drilling, so that when another shooter springs up, a dozen vans are at the site in half an hour, tops.

3) They never, EVER do, and rightfully so. Humans are irrational to the point that it is difficult verging on impossible, even with careful consideration and no time limit, for someone to come up with a perfect account of events. In the heat of the moment and for days afterwards, you can trust your eyes and senses to give you the whole truth as much as you can trust the NWO to let you keep your guns.

4) Because conflicting evidence means that one piece must be wrong, and once they determine which, they stop mentioning it. We have done this for literally thousands of years, because keeping track of every piece of information is exhausting, without counting all the hoaxes, false leads, hearsay, fabrications, and sensationalization.

5) You're right. We should ignore all this; never happened, never happens. To mention it in any way would be a disgrace to all those who died so that some people could exercise their right to resolve disputes and address issues with indiscriminate violence.
