No, I don't think any reasonable person expected the problems to be fixed overnight. In a functional state during daylight hours 2 weeks after launch? Call me a stickler, but I don't think it's unreasonable to think a game should work over 50% of the time. Not to mention the constant freezing and 3 step bug which Niantic hasn't even acknowledged let alone fix.

On the bright side, I am sure the team in charge of minor fixes and the one in charge of important major bug fixes are 2 entirely separate teams of people. They can, and probably are, working at the same time, and one's progress does not mean the other gets delayed. Of course, it stands to reason that the minor fixes one finishes first.
