Coal is a dying industry and anyone who tells you otherwise is either ignorant or lying. A lot of people have lost their livelihood or watched loved ones lose theirs over the decline of coal and Trump told these people exactly what they wanted to hear but nothing is going to save the coal industry in the long run; it's an unfortunate but inevitable outcome. Natural gas is typically cheaper and in greater supply than coal and coal has been declining in both domestic and foreign demand. These factors combined heavily limit the viability of the coal industry and regardless of what Trump does these people are unfortunately still going to lose their jobs.

God, please, just stop stirring the political shitstorm that is the 2016 election. I wanna move on in my life already, and if people keep bringing stuff up, it'll never go away.
