Splatoon - Stay off the hook (Marina)

What does this mean? Do the various races in the Splatoon world cook and eat each other? Are there fishing hooks specifically designed to catch other species for the purposes of eating?? Do they have ancient tales of the human race that used to use hooks to catch them and eat them….

IS HUMANITY CONSIDERED CTHULHU TO THE SQUID PEOPLE?
