Guy Cutting a Crunchwrap refers to a viral video of YouTuber Joe Is Hungry cutting a Taco Bell Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap and showing it to the camera. In June 2024, the video went viral on X / Twitter, with users commenting that the YouTuber is moving akin to a video game character and posting edits and caption memes.

Origin

On June 2nd, 2024, YouTuber Joe is Hungry posted a review video of Taco Bell's fast-food item Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap. One part of the video is a sped-up montage of Joe Is Hungry cutting the burrito in a flashy way, with him spinning the knife before cutting the Crunchwrap and showing it to the camera. The video (shown below, 6:16 mark) garnered over 861,000 views and 89,000 likes on TikTok[1] and 18,000 views on YouTube[2] in two weeks.



On June 3rd, 2024, X[3] / Twitter user @clammyheart shared the clip, commenting, "when the edible hits and you get taco bell for dinner." The post (shown below) garnered over 5.6 million views, 5,200 reposts and 51,000 likes in two weeks.

The post was followed by other users quoting the video with humorous captions and edits of the video, replacing the audio and adding various overlays.

On June 5th, 2024, X[4] user @UltimaShadowX quoted the video, writing, "Why does he move like a CD-i character?" The post gained over 1,500 reposts and 19,000 likes in nine days.

On June 7th, X[5] user @IkaroKruz made a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney edit of the video that gained over 4,400 reposts and 20,000 likes in one week (shown below).


On June 8th, 2024, X[6] user @ScarfWynaut posted a Fire Emblem edit that received over 5,100 reposts and 20,000 likes in six days (shown below).


More edits of the video were posted on X / Twitter in the following days.
