Distracted Boyfriend - Distracted on a better movie

The best part is watching feminists hate on alita for doing everything they claim to want in a movie.

Good, then you aren't among the people I have a problem with.
My problem is that most of these people talking about Alita being better than CM and what not, only ever seem to bring up Alita when comparing it to CM. If Alita is really that good you'd think they would spend more time talking about the movie on it's own, talking about what scenes and characters they like, memeing their favorite moments, and so on. But they aren't. Just look at the main Alita article on this very site. There's only been one comment made within the last year, and the gallery is mostly made up of memes about the oversized eyes, again most of them being a year old. And remember, this movie has been out for more than a month, but they only really started talking about it once the idea, of it being the unofficial rival to CM somehow, caught on. Just look at Jack Posobiec who launched the #Alitachallenge

This isn't a slight against the movie (I haven't seen it) but against the people rallying behind it, being disingenuous.
My point is that they only care about Alita as long as they can use it as a rallying point against Captain Marvel. And they'll likely forget about it as soon as this inane controversy is over.
