"evil dwarf with stretchmarks and hairy legs" is not a literal remark, it is just meant to outline the fact that the kind of people that give shit to Japan for having "weird fetishes" (which are not even weird at all, given the character example here who has indeed gotten shit for her design several times) are the same kind that would scream "KINKSHAMING" to Heaven and beyond if they were the ones being called out for having actually odd fetishes people would normally not call them out for was it not for them being hypocrites towards other forms of artistic freedom.

While this post is true and these sorts of people shouldn't be taken seriously, I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with wanting less skimpy female character designs or making your own redesign of a character to look how you would like them to look. As long as it's within reason and the artist doesn't claim that they 'fixed' the original design, which is super rude to the artist who created them, I find it cool seeing people's own interpretations of certain characters.
