Nah this is more of a humor. Title: "Not as great as you remember", referring to the jawbreaker. In the show it's gigantic, and here it's shown as normal size, with Eddy grown up, the joke being that the jawbreakers seemed gigantic just because he was a kid

In context with the other artworks made by the artist it's not depressing, more of a "wow,did I really sold my dignity for this when I was younger?".
