Do You Love Her? Are You Willing To Do Whatever It Takes to Stay With Her? refers to a viral clip from the courtroom drama TV show Couples Court With the Cutlers in which Judge Keith Cutler asks a man named Charles Butler if he loves his wife and if he's willing to do whatever it takes to stay with her. The man responds with "Yes" to the first equation and "No" to the second question, making the audience upset. The clip went viral on TikTok in 2023 and 2024, becoming a TikTok sound and meme as users lip dubbed it and gave the audio different contexts.
Origin
On September 29th, 2017, season 1, episode 19 of Couples Court With the Cutlers titled "Hyler v. Butler" aired on American television.[1] The full episode was shared on YouTube[2] on October 25th, 2018, by the Couples Court channel, gaining over 481,000 views in six years.
At the video's 3:18-minute mark (shown below), Judge Keith Cutler asks the male defendant, Charles Butler, "Do you love her?" to which Butler says, "Yes." Judge Cutler then asks, "Are you willing to do whatever it takes to stay with her?" to which Butler replies, "No." Butler then says, "I'm just playing," and laughs while the audience is upset.
The video started getting posted to TikTok[3] in late 2022. However, the first known memetic usage of the video was shared by TikToker[4] @bqeva on February 22nd, 2023, who captioned it, "pov: my ex," receiving over 7.2 million plays and 989,300 likes in a year (shown below).

Going into 2023, others on TikTok used the sound[5] of the video, such as TikToker[6] @_tekkzz on March 23rd, 2023, who joked about, "POV: I'm getting married but I see my Year 10 English teacher in the crowd," receiving over 464,100 plays and 77,700 likes in a year (shown below, left).
On April 3rd, 2023, TikToker[7] @taymccomish posted a similar video, joking about getting married and seeing actor Channing Tatum in the front row, earning over 5.9 million plays and 1.4 million likes in a year (shown below, right).

Usage of the TikTok sound resurfaced en masse in early 2024, evident in video shared by TikToker[8] @_ihardlyknowher on March 12th, 2024, in which she joked about seeing the "green mf" from Gorillaz in the front row of her wedding, receiving over 597,200 likes in a month (shown below).
