I miss old school Gorrilaz.

There was a time when a Gorrilaz album had a few guest collaborations from other artists, instead of it being a compilation album of other artists guess staring the Gorrilaz.

Yeah, people praise Song Machine like it's the best thing they've ever made, but half the songs just don't click with me. It's basically Humanz 2.0, but loved for some reason. Every song feels like it's artist ft. Gorillaz instead of the other way around (Aries is basically a New Order song). The only one that is reminiscent of old-school Gorillaz is Pac-Man. Their older albums, despite being packed with features, had consistency. For example, Latin Simone had a dominant latin influence, but still felt like a Gorillaz song. I mean, it's cool they got Robert Smith, Peggy, Beck, Elton John and many others, but it's just too much features. Phase 1 through 3 were the best.
