Actually, Celestia is her aunt 52 times removed – after that many generations Celestia probably has hundreds, if not thousands of ponies who could plausibly call her "aunt", and she can't possibly know them all personally. My personal headcanon is that Fancypants, Fleur de Lys and Flim and Flam are all related to Celestia, since they are all unicorns with tall, lanky bodies.
