At the very least, we're more coherent. The Bronies, being a fandom, has a stronger sense of synergy than the more nebulous, classic concept that is Lolcats.
We have our own news websites, we have celebrities (content creators, rather than subjects). I think that gives us more staying power, and in the long run Lolcats will fall to the wayside while bronies pony on forever.
