This comic makes me wonder, if the changelings ever began to give and feel love like ponies do, maybe through Cadence's teachings, then they might become self sustaining. That way they wouldn't need to rely on conquering other races for their love, maybe they could even become allies with Equestria.
I need to write a fanfic on that.
