Quick rundown for those not in the know:
“The Jungle Movie” was the working title of the scrapped Hey Arnold! series finale theatrical movie. The script had been more-or-less completed, but Nickelodeon pulled the plug after the first movie (Arnold Saves the Neighborhood) failed to meet expectations. (This is their own fault, the first movie was intended to just be a TV-movie, but Nick insisted that it be released theatrically.)
However, frustrating as it is to have the very last bit of the story of a wonderful series be canceled, this is where the “Childhood Enhanced” bit comes in. Show creator Craig Bartlett has revealed the basic synopsis, and a few more in-depth details of what happened in the movie. In short, picking up a while after the last (production order) episode, The Journal, Arnold now knows his parents are in San Lorenzo, and manages to win a class trip there. While we don’t know very many specifics, it’s been said that Arnold and the gang would find his long-lost parents, face off against a villain mentioned in his parents journal, “La Sombra” and Helga and Arnold would finally “realize that they were meant for each other.”

While the movie was never released, Craig has said that the events in the movie still canonically happen, and that he may reveal the whole script someday, but he’s holding out for now, just incase the project is ever picked up again. (There’s been talk of the possibilities of it being released as a comic or book eventually) He also said that he actually likes the fact that fans know what’s supposed to happen, but can still come up with their own version of things in their head, thus keeping the debates and discussion of the show alive, which is a pretty cool way to look at things.
