See, I say "just internet friends" when talking about a friend online with someone I know IRL, because if you don't, your mom's like, "Ooh, what do you do together? Do you go to school with them? Where did you meet? Can I meet them?" and then you have to spend like an hour explaining to your mother that you can be close with somebody on the internet and then she starts criticizing you and tells you to get some "real" friends and you're like, "But mom, I have 'real' friends, I just also have these great friends on the internet." and then your mom calls you pathetic and storms off and you're like, "Love you too, mom" and she doesn't talk to you the rest of the day and you are sad.

I'll be honest, at times I feel like I'm nicer on the internet than in "real life."
