I like his point about diversity, I mean, it should be considered something good, but not something to enforce.

Moreover, changing what is presented does not change the nature of the problem. Diversity issues in fiction aren't causative, they're symptomatic of deeper societal issues…treating the symptom does not cure the disease.

That's nothing new though: we've been saying since well before Jack Thompson that art does not inform life, life informs art.
