Dude, you are doing it wrong, if you want to get an 8-player smash party, you gotta make a party FOR 8-player smash. If they are unfamiliar to smash, tell them about 8-player smash and the strategic benefits from that game. This worked for me, as I got friends that are pc gamers to play with me for a great time.
