Dubs made after the 2000's are generally made in high quality and good care, with top notch voice acting. The only exception to this rule is some early 2000's anime which were marketed for kids and as such got censored.

Meanwhile dubs made pre-2000's were often made by amateurs with dialogue being mistranslated.
