In the popular game Elden Ring, the dogs are honestly some of the most fearsome opponents you can face. This isn't unique to Elden Ring though, as most FromSoftware games have the animal enemies being the scariest and hardest to fight, taking more damage to stagger and having wild, erratic movements. However, unlike in previous games, these dogs are capable of dealing the most damage possible.

Because of the janky hit detection used for the Rotten Stray Dog enemy, it's entirely possible to have the enemy do 11,640 damage to the player per second. That kind of damage is impossible for the player's character to withstand, and can't be mitigated so easily, leading to many people to meme the enemy and the phrase that accurately describes its combat prowess.
