The right movie poster can make a world of difference for a film's success. As the first thing many prospective viewers will see, they serve as both a form of advertising and a way to sum up the entire story and narrative in one image. It's a big job, and it takes a lot of thought to make sure it looks just right, and also to make sure it doesn't look identical to the many other movie posters out there (apparently a lot of them look exactly the same).

Regular people with no design experience really aren't good at making memorable movie posters. Or maybe they're memorable, just in a very bad way. Nowhere is that clearer than the Twitter account @AWFULfanPOSTERS which posts images for movies that don't exist, and doesn't really show them in the best light. Here are some of the funniest ones out there that'll make you thankful these movies are entirely made-up.
