The term Karen is used to describe a rude, self entitled person who is normally seen as an annoying female antagonistic character in memes and pop culture. The word came to prominence in the 2020s when numerous viral videos and photos showed middle-aged white women with short blond hair cuts being offensive, racist, and irritating to innocent members of the public for reasons that were not warranted.
