10 NFT Memes That Are Probably More Valuable Than An NFT
NFTs have taken the internet by storm. By now, you probably know what an NFT is, even if it doesn't make sense: it's just a piece of digital artwork you can spend an absurd amount of money on to keep in your crypto wallet, usually with the expectation that you can resell it at a later time for more money (good luck with that). The most popular NFTs are Bored Apes, which are essentially just ugly monkeys people will shell out millions for.
Contrary to popular belief, NFTs should not belong in the same category as crypto, because crypto at least has an investment value while NFTs are by definition "non-fungible," meaning they have no inherent worth. This hasn't stopped the biggest crypto exchange in the US, Coinbase, from getting in on the NFT game, however. Today, they announced they're launching an NFT marketplace. But really, this changes nothing about the NFT's value. I'm not here to give you financial advice, but these memes may remind you why you should approach any NFT purchase with caution.
