Le Poisson Steve refers to an animation of an orange, two-legged orange fish with arms named Steve set to a chiptune song about him that went viral on TikTok in early April 2025. The video, made by animator Vigz and composer Tomo, inspired numerous fan animations, remixes and various memes. "Le poisson Steve" is French for "Steve the Fish."

Origin

On April 2nd, 2025, French animator Vigz (also known as vigzvigz) posted an animation of a two-legged orange fish named Steve set to a chiptune song in French. The song was composed by @tomomp3. The video (shown below) garnered over 8.5 million views and 1.1 million likes on TikTok[1] and 495,900 likes on Instagram[2] in one week.
