Reddit is known for sh*tposting. It's hard to describe what sh*tposting even is, but it involves a lot of nonsense being spilled onto different subreddits like an ugly stain. However, they've become appreciated in their own rights as entertaining simply because of how dumb they are. They're still funny, but that probably just means we have a very broken sense of humor.

We should be ashamed of ourselves, and yet we're not, we're just intrigued by how something so dumb can keep us so transfixed. These posts make little to no sense, can probably cause brain cell loss, and mean nothing, but somehow they can be even better (or way, way worse) than what people post online sincerely. When there's no effort behind something, there's no stakes to be lost by posting utter garbage, so these images have risked nothing and gained online fame.
