Advice is lovely to receive when it's constructive and actually helps you feel better. Sometimes, it doesn't help much at all, but you can tell someone put some thought into it and it means something because of that alone. Other times, people think they have the best advice for everything, which they will readily share with you, uninvited. These latter people usually do not have the slightest idea what they're talking about, and somehow they seem so convinced that they're right anyway. It's both funny and sad simultaneously.

For whatever reason, the following people either love hearing the sound of their own voice or the sight of their own writing too much, because the advice they're offering is downright terrible, meaningless, or even harmful. And while none of these suggestions should actually be considered as actual solutions (please, don't even try listening to them), at least we have the subreddit /r/ThanksImCured to point out how unrealistic they are. Here are 15 of our favorites.
