Karens are special people. We don't know how they wound up being the most entitled human beings in the world, but they certainly feel like they deserve it, because they're always waiting impatiently in line to speak to the manager of the local department store over a slight price discrepancy or something equally minor. And nowadays, they've been joining social media and online forums to voice their complaints where everyone can see them.

It seems like there's just no escaping them. We can't go through a day without stumbling upon some petty complaint on Facebook. Karens are truly an unstoppable force, something that's become so confusing, frustrating and still somehow entertaining that we just can't stop staring at them from afar. Karen Missed Her Appointment

Community 19m. Not sure who else has had experience with this place, but all I can say is I'll NEVER return!!! It was our first time, waited 2 days to get an appointment, arrived at 6:17 (2 mins after appt) and were told we were late and N was with the next customer. However, she took this customer just as we walked in. I've never in my life been turned away for being 2 mins late. Apparently they have a 5 min grace period?? wouldn't even look at us. It sounds like there's a big piece of the story missing, so allow me to translate Karen's comment: she showed up more than two minutes late, and by then, her hairdresser was starting to work with someone else. She would have still honored Karen's appointment after a short wait if it weren't for the fact that Karen definitely threw an adult tantrum, which made everyone working in the store uncomfortable, which is why her hairdresser refused to look in her direction. Karen was then told she would not be having her hair done that day. Thus, Karen goes online and rants about the lateness policy in order to deflect blame from herself.

Other waitstaff appeared to be moving quickly. I finally got my ticket to pay and I paid in cash. I observed her with my change and she went to check in new customers. Manager asked what I needed, told her I was waiting on my change, told her my waitress was trying to do to much. Manager told me they were busy and I needed to chill. 1pm was busy? I wonder how busy they are at 7pm? Female manager was very unprofessional!!! The sandwich was wonderful as was the onion rings!! I will go back!!! B2

Cool attractions for the kids, but they messed up our passes and then made us spend 45 minutes talking with management (time lost) and did nothing to fix it. Wasted time. Wasted money. Not much fun when you have toddlers and are on a schedule. Don't recommend. ***Thanks for the response, management. Glad you know how much time it took to resolve rather than me-you know, the one with the 3 kids. Appreciate you being in the know and looking after things. Looks like everyone else can just leave their watches at home, too. 2 months ago Jesse, I am sorry to hear about the mix up with your passes today. As per our cameras the manager took less than ten minutes to get everything squared away and was able to get everything restored to your card. You were still able to use your full 5 hour unlimited pass which is what you paid for. Mix ups happen, we try to do the best we can and are always seeking to make experiences better. We are sorry that you were unhappy.

Christmas Skeletons

Hi friends. I don't post here often. I've been driving around town with my munchkin looking at christmas decorations. Lots of great stuff - thank you. There are a few of you though who seem to think the big spend on the giant skeletons from Home Depot for halloween justifies their continued use as giant, dead Santa and Mrs. Claus. If scaring young kids is the goal of christmas decorations, or ruining kids' fleeting belief in Santa, you're accomplishing that, 100 percent. I am guessing, though, that it's just meant to be funny to adults. Kind of thoughtless though. Christmas is not about skeletons. It's about the giving spirit, sharing, the birth of jesus, family time, claymation specials, whatever. You have an option to be ghoulish with a Grinch. But even the Grinch ends up with a positive message. It just isn't about scary giant dead Santa and Mrs. Claus. Thanks. Merry Christmas.

Speeding Firetruck

The first fire truck FLEW through tonight at an amazingly high rate of speed. There were young children, parents, and pets waiting at their curbs for Santa tonight. No need for speed! A tragedy in the making. Santa's truck followed at a slower rate and the kids enjoyed waving to him and getting candy canes. When we began tonight within the first 5-10 minutes from leaving the station, we had two serious incidents that were dispatched within minutes of each other. One incident required an ambulance, the second required the fire truck and another ambulance to respond to another location. Whether it is a random night of the week or during an event. The safety of our residents, those driving through our town, as well as our crews always comes first. Followed by the ability to provide a service quickly and efficiently to those that need us during an emergency.
