Lord of the Rings memes have always been some of the most popular ones online. Maybe we're all just nerds, or maybe there's really something here that makes some great memeable content. If we're being honest, it's probably a little bit of both. But either way, the formats and meme tropes we've come to joke about involving this trilogy have been some of our favorites.

Eons ago, it was announced that Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power was underway. We still know very few details about the new Prime Video series, aside from the fact that it's a prequel. And maybe it's best that we know so little about it, because we can't really build expectations about it. None of us really have, honestly, since it seems unlikely that something new could live up to the originals.
