Twitter Reacts To The First Wave Of Stimulus Checks Being Deposited
Many Americans have been wondering when exactly their $1200 check would be hitting their bank accounts after President Trump signed a $2 trillion stimulus package approved by Congress in effort to lessen the financial blow millions have felt during the current pandemic.
Today, it appears the first wave of stimulus checks have been sent out, after many Twitter users took to their accounts to announce that they had received their money, sending the hashtags #StimulusChecks and #StimulusDeposit to take over as trending topics. Though the IRS claims that most of the money will be deposited by the end of this week, many on Twitter utilized memes, videos and GIFs to emphasize the amount of patience needed to wait for their checks as unemployment numbers continue to skyrocket in the United States.
An updated schedule of when the IRS would be distributing the checks was released.
