Viral Prompt Has Twitter Remembering The Bonkers Energy Of 'Kingdom Hearts'

Last week, Twitter was awash in variations on the viral prompt, "What's Something That FEELS X But Isn't?" While most of the prompts went into a socio-political territory, one prompt got gamers involved: "What's a 'Kingdom Hearts' moment that's real but doesn't feel real?"

For those unfamiliar, Kingdom Hearts is Square Enix's Disney collaborative series, following the hero Sora as he travels with Donald and Goofy through Disney lands to defeat the evil that's infecting those worlds. After the first game kept things (relatively) straightforward in terms of plot, the series infamously went in a completely bonkers direction, adding plot elements like duplicate characters made from the hearts of others, time-travel and what felt like 100 indirect spin-offs and sequels before finally wrapping up with Kingdom Hearts III last year. The result is a series that was wild to behold, delivering some of the most surreal out-of-context moments in gaming history. Moments of Kingdom Hearts that don't feel real but really were real? Honestly, this only scratches the surface of the madness within Kingdom Hearts, a truly bananas franchise that is simultaneously too ridiculous, too sentimental, and too fun.
