TikTok users are giving Big A.J. Befumo of "Costco Guys" fame five big booms following the viral rumors of his death.

A.J. has become one of the most well known content creators on the platform in the past year, so the news of his supposed passing is shocking the internet.

But did Big A.J. really die, or is this just another elaborate death hoax? Here's what you need to know.

Who Is 'Big A.J.' On TikTok?

A.J. Befumo, also known as Big A.J., is one half of the viral Costco Guys duo, made up of himself and his son, Big Justice.

The duo went viral in March 2024 after posting a video about the things they do in Costco, turning them into memes. They continued to capitalize on their success with songs, bizarre catchphrases and by teaming up with The Rizzler.

Besides being a Costco guy, Big A.J. is most known as a professional wrestler. Right now, he wrestles for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and has had a few clips of his matches go viral.

So, it came as a big shock to some when, on April 17th, a video went viral on TikTok claiming that A.J. supposedly passed away.

Did 'Big A.J.' Die?

On April 17th, 2025, TikToker @iambenzyyy posted a video in which he claims that Big A.J. died. In the video, which now has over 6 million views, he shared an alleged post from A.J.'s official X account claiming that the wrestler died in relation to taking steroids.

While the video seemed to convince some viewers, it is actually a joke — mimicking many other viral trolls related to celebrity deaths.

In truth, the X post does not exist and there is no evidence to suggest that Big A.J. is dead. His social media accounts have continued to post content and people have even posted videos with him since rumors of the death occurred.
